Artist: Deborah Palmer

Deborah Palmer grew up in the Northern Virginia area and has recently moved to Tybee Island after retiring as an Event Planner for the Federal Government. She has always been involved in creative endeavors but began painting seriously about five years ago.

Deb has a BS from West Virginia University. Still, she regularly takes painting classes from nationally known artists such as Bill Fletcher, Dreama Perry Tolle, Alyssa Burke, Donna Downey, Sarah Sedgewick, and well-known Savannah artists Sharon MachIntosh. She is familiar with several mediums but is currently painting in oil. Her paintings typically focus on the colorful low country landscapes, marshes, seascapes, coastal birds, and sea animals, all of which complement her surroundings and her love for nature and bright colors.

A selection of Deborah's works are currently on display at CorkHouse Savannah Gallery.
