Natural cork top tiles are individually hand produced from the first harvest of (renewable) cork oak trees. This unique covering is the outer bark of the cork tree and can be used on walls or ceilings or even furniture pieces to add texture, warmth and character. The cork bark covering is naturally dramatic, rich, warm, and durable as Mother Nature meant bark to be. Note: This tile is not smooth as it uses the natural texture of the cork tree.

Note: Harvesting the cork does not harm this tree, the cork grows back only to be harvested time after time. Cork is a truly sustainable
resource.

Style: Colorado

Tile Size: 300mm x 300mm x varying thickness (approx. 12 inch x 12 inch x varying thickness). Due to the natural characteristics of cork, these vary between 2cm and 5cm in thickness.

Price is per single tile (approx. 1 square feet)

Care Instructions for Cork Wall tiles: dust regularly and wipe with a damp cloth occasionally
the cork tree is planted, starting the cycle. The cork tree grows its bark thickening. The bark is carefully harvested and turned into commercial products, the bark on the tree regrows and the cycle continues.

Artist Interview: Angel Ciolko Celebrating HERstory Month

Music and rhythm are apparent in the cinematic ebb and flow of Ciolko’s vibrant female papier-mâché torsos. It’s clear that these ladies are not standing still, nor are they waiting for someone to open the door for them. Instead, they have the oomph to open their own doors and, more importantly, open doors for others and give those less powerful a gentle push to get them through their next hurdle.
