Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog! My first full week at the Cork House has definitely been a busy one; I’ve been quickly learning all the ins and outs of how a business runs on a daily basis and the things that go on behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly. I was also given the task to update the online store, which now has an assortment of fashion and gift items for order. One of my favourites would be the cork backpacks that are not only stylish and versatile but also a great alternative for the environment. I also fell in love with the cute little Corkers packs that give you the tools to recycle old wine corks and create a wide variety of adorable characters!
Aside from that, I’ve also gotten my first opportunity to design some new products for the Cork House! First up is an original design for Mother’s Day coasters, hot pads, and trays; they’ll be sold individually and in sets on both the Cork House online store and in the showroom. I’ve also started brainstorming for a Father’s Day and Canada Day version as well, so stay tuned for those! I was also able to redesign the shipping labels for the custom printing service so if you place an order with the Cork House you’ll be able to see the updated look in person.
With this post, I officially bring my first week to a close. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and make sure to come back next week to read more about my experience at the Cork House!
